Elsa Soyars outdoor talent is on display at the Southampton Hospitals Show House in Sag Harbor. The opening party was on Saturday night and it runs til September 5. A very chic, very zen deck space outside the studio of the main floor. Beautiful fabrics (from Crezana of course) and a photograph by photographer Bob Frame printed on aluminum highlight the space. Check it out.

Goodbye Old Friend

We say goodbye to our old trusted friend COSMO today. He has been a bright spot for us in our home and studio for 12 years. He made cameo appearances in the rooms for the wallcoverings and worked for mere cookies. Those of you who knew him, know what a gentle dog he was. Always ready to snuggle up for a vigorous back scratch. He will be missed.

Our new pattern IKAT has been imagined in copper metallic thread on a beautiful striated brown, taupe, blue grasscloth. The subtleties are difficult to photograph, but seeing it is an incrediblely, rich, shimmering sensory experience. It looks like metal.

The first issue of the summer of HC&G is out in the Hampton's. Our friend Kendell Cronstrom is the new editor in chief. Our Mandalay Embroidered Wallcovering takes a great position playing backup to the amazing peonies that stylist Christopher White arranged for photographer Bob Frame. The flowering series will be in every issue throughout the summer focusing on another blooming bud and how to display it.

Suzanne and Maria from the DESIGN HOUSE OF THE HAMPTONS are a local design team turning out beautiful work here in the Hampton's. This week the girls become hosts and go on air or shall we say "on video" with AOL and a series of video profiles of artisans and craftsman of this area. It's called Design Influence.
